DMP 128 Plus Models with Powerful VoIP Capabilities

We are pleased the announce the immediate availability of the DMP 128 Plus C V and DMP 128 Plus C V AT Digital Matrix Processors. These models include up to eight VoIP lines, with wideband codec support, that can be configured as individual extensions or with multiple call appearance channels to support local conferencing applications. Compatible with most existing VoIP systems, any single V model of the DMP 128 Plus Series can be used as a multiple-line device with conference calling support on a single VoIP line.

VoIP for AV and IT Professionals

Network-specific VoIP configuration is managed through a dedicated, password protected web interface, where advanced logging and diagnostic tools are also available. This segregation of VoIP configuration allows IT and network administrators to effectively manage the VoIP aspect of DMP 128 Plus devices without the need to develop a detailed knowledge of audio DSP configuration. The inclusion of LLDP-MED technology allows the DMP 128 Plus to automatically obtain and apply advanced network configurations when connected to a compliant VoIP infrastructure.

For detailed information and compatibility go to www.extron.com/voip

Powerful VoIP Features

New Audio Expansion Interface Easily Adds 16 Audio Outputs

Extron Electronics is pleased to introduce the new AXI 016, a sixteen output audio expansion interface for DMP 128 Plus audio DSP systems. The AXI 016 connects to the EXP expansion port on the DMP 128 Plus, transforming the matrix from an 8 output device into a 24 output device. Since all of the high performance, low-latency DSP processing occurs within the attached DMP 128 Plus, no separate configuration is needed for the AXI 016. The AXI 016 audio expansion interface also supports audio DSP systems that integrate a DMP 128 Plus and a DTP CrossPoint matrix switcher.

Key Features:

  • Adds sixteen line level analog outputs to a DMP 128 Plus system
  • Connects with a CAT 6 cable to the EXP expansion port on the DMP 128 Plus
  • Supports DSP systems that integrate a DMP 128 Plus and a DTP CrossPoint
  • Front panel signal, clip, and port LEDs
  • High signal density – 16 analog outputs in a compact 1U, half rack width enclosure
  • Energy-efficient, external universal power supply included

Extron’s New Technology Performance Lab for System Design Evaluation and Interoperability Testing

Extron’s new Technology Performance Lab is the newest addition to our in-house product testing facility located at our corporate headquarters in Anaheim, California. It enables testing of our professional-grade DTP, XTP, and FOX product platforms in real-world applications. Lab equipment can be configured to replicate everything from basic system designs to extremely complex installations. Currently, it is being used to test comprehensive design concepts with the XTP II CrossPoint Series modular matrix switchers, the industry’s only AV infrastructure to support HDMI 2.1.

To ensure each twisted pair and fiber optic product performs reliably and to specification in any given system design, Extron engineers work with a vast array of sources and display devices from a wide variety of manufacturers. Sources include a comprehensive offering of laptops, computers, media and Blu ray players, graphics cards, cameras, handheld devices like tablets, and more. For display needs and because display models work differently even when they are from the same manufacturer, this state of the art lab incorporates an astonishing 64 displays of varying brands, technologies, capabilities, and sizes. Lab equipment is added to and upgraded regularly and at significant cost, allowing us to anticipate emerging source and display technologies.

DMP 128 Plus AT Models Now Support AES67

We are pleased to announce that the Dante-enabled DMP 128 Plus AT models now support AES67 for Audio over IP interoperability. As many Audio over IP protocols emerged over the last several years, some of them have become dominant in certain markets or with certain manufacturers. But the reality in the field is that equipment using incompatible Audio over IP protocols often needs to be part of a single system. AES67 provides interoperability between the predominant Audio over IP protocols in use today. AES67 is not an Audio over IP protocol by itself. Rather, it is an interoperability standard that acts as a translator between protocols.

Key Features

  • Audio over IP interoperability with other products supporting AES67
  • Built-in four-port Gigabit switch
  • Supports redundant audio networks
  • FlexInput channels can accept network audio in place of a local mic/line input
