The company is known for its modern architecture designs for various types of appliances and furniture, and its interior design work is often associated with an eco-friendly simplicity. In addition, the firm is known for its attention to cost control, operational details, and continuous product development, corporate attributes that allowed IKEA to lower its prices by an average of two to three percent over the decade to 2010 during a period of global expansion. The IKEA group has a complex corporate structure and is controlled by several foundations based in the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.

The Problem

How to improve manufacturing productivity and quality in the processing plant?

During production of different furniture equipment, Ikea wanted to identify the bottlenecks so that the supervisor can assigned more workers in a particular process. Ikea also wanted to have access to the production data in real time in which transparency brings pressure to perform and guarantees continuous improvements. A production planning is also needed that can push out instruction real time via a touch of a button from the back end server.

The Solution

Commercial Tablet with Secure OS and Hardware Protection

In 2015, Ikea installed 300 pieces of multiple Commercial Tablet (kiosk) in production line in POLAND, to recreate and reinforce digital message. These kiosk helped the production team in providing a more accurate data collection and faster workflow. The project revenue if approximately USD200,000- USD300,000. Poland is the first manufacturing plant location and IKEA will expand to other manufacturing plants.

Glory Star JARVIS tablet Enables Ikea to:

1. Making instruction available in electronic form by using tablets has delivered reliable traceability and improved productivity

GloryStar Case Study – Quick Service Restaurant

Mohammad Ghaziri, a Beiruti citizen, established Barbarin 1979 amid the intensity of the Lebanese war. Ghaziri started with a small man’ousheh bakery to serve residents in his city. The shop, which opened facing the landmark Piccadilly theater in the heart of Beirut, gained fame from its varieties of man’ousheh: thyme, minced meat and cheese. Barbar’s hit was the man’ousheh with super melting akkawi cheese, deliciously topped with sesame seeds; the man’oushehw became famous.

Weixin Image_2026-06-29_100626_105

Solution

Glory Star first asked Barbar Restaurant what type of CPU processor requirements were necessary to run their POS platform. Their POS platform managed every aspect of the restaurant from taking orders to managing inventory and more. Glory Star recommended the ULTRON 15inch and ULTRON 215 J1900 to be used as a POS tablet at the order taking terminal as well as the kitchen display. The Ultron is able to withstand the kitchen environment and allowing the chef to quickly read the orders on the screen.

There is a solution for ordering, communicating with the kitchen, and bill payments; everything you need is on the screen.
It has replaced printer & paper based systems.
The kitchen display system replaces old printer and paper based systems, eliminated the cost for printer consumables
improving the communication between the kitchen and the front of the house staff.
it provided quicker turnaround time, less mistakes, and more satisfied customers.
Easy installation with less cabling.
Kitchen space is often sparse but the ULTRON Windows Tablet units are compact and designed to fit in many different locations.
Glory Star ULTRON Windows Tablet is VESA compatible and can be installed on a pole, wall or hang from the ceiling.

GloryStar Case Study – Signature Tablet: Hertz Car Rental

Hertz is a world’s leading vehicle renting organization and were looking to facilitate their clients with a fast, easy, intuitive way to sign agreements and receive them by email.

Weixin Image_2026-06-23_114421_581

Hertz is a world’s leading vehicle renting organization, operates from approximately 7,700 locations in 145 countries worldwide. They were looking to facilitate their clients with a fast, easy, intuitive way to sign agreements and receive them by email.

The Problem

Before implementing the Glory Star tablets, customers were using large amount of paper for authorizing signature documents at car rental locations. This is the reason they named the project “Paperless branch” / Digital branch. Not only does paper create additional unnecessary costs , it is cumbersome, so shifting from paper-based to a digital (secure) process shortened the lines and made the entire customer experience to a much friendly one. There was a difficulty in finding a tablet that will perfectly suite customer needs. Robustness Direct connection to electricity and lack of battery.

The Solution

The Glory Star JARVIS 10inch tablet and Comda digital signature system displays documents for the signatories and are used as a graphical signing platform. Customers can also photo other documents and certifications and attach them with the tablet camera. The entire solution integrates with Comda’s digital signature system – the server names it Signer1. The android capabilities were utilized in order to build a paper like user experience with the highest level of security.

VCA 100 Now Supports Redundancy

vc_60196301_dsg1301err_dv30

The Extron VCA 100 Virtual Control Appliance is designed for centralized AV control across an organization. Typically deployed in AV/IT-managed environments such as network rooms or data centers, the VCA 100 enables flexible control of multiple systems without the need to deploy and manage traditional servers or virtual machines. This reduces maintenance requirements and scheduled downtime.

The new VCA 100 redundancy capability also enhances operational flexibility by enabling a secondary VCA 100 appliance to act as a backup, automatically taking over in the event of a failure of the primary system. This creates a high-availability virtual control system that continues functioning during failover without requiring user intervention.

To configure redundancy, the backup VCA 100 must meet the following requirements:

  • The backup appliance must include at least the same number of Virtual Control Processors (VCPs)
  • Matching LinkLicenses must be enabled on corresponding VCPs
  • Both VCA 100 appliances must run the same firmware version
  • Both appliances must reside on the same subnet

Once these conditions are met, redundancy can be enabled through the VCA 100 web interface. After configuration values are entered and validated, additional redundancy-specific settings become available to complete the setup.

In addition to automatic failover, the system supports redundancy-aware monitoring. Alarm conditions within the redundant system can generate notifications, allowing support personnel to respond quickly to system events.

If a failure occurs, whether due to power, network, or hardware, the hosted control systems will continue running on the backup VCA 100 with minimal disruption. After the issue is resolved, redundancy can be restored using the configurations and programs on the backup system or by reestablishing the primary unit.
