StudioStation – Best Video Component or Processor

StudioStation is a quick, simple, and convenient solution for one-touch recording of high quality video and audio presentations. When the user inserts a USB storage device into the remote control panel, the system automatically powers up and is ready for use. Simply press the record button to begin recording. Once the recording is complete, removing the USB storage device places the system into a standby state and turns off any devices connected to the power controller. StudioStation records MP4 media files that are compatible with virtually any media player or editing software.

It supports computer and video signals at resolutions up to 4K. The many integrator-friendly features include EDID  Minder®, selectable HDCP authorization, along with bidirectional RS‑232 and IR pass-through for remote AV device control. Soundfirm, Australia’s largest independent Picture and Sound Post Production Company has recently installed a Lilliput BM280-4K 28-inch for 4K monitoring in their online edit suite.

Ross Mitchell, Head of Soundfirm’s Melbourne operations, explained, “The unit was placed in operation straight out of the case, with image clarity that provides detailed analysis of our UHD content”.

With three facilities situated in Port Melbourne, on the Fox Studios lot in Sydney, and in Central Beijing, Soundfirm’s studios are equipped to offer creative and technical services to leading Filmmakers and Producers around the world.

The recently released Lilliput BK series 4K monitors are now available from AVW (Australia and New Zealand), via three model sizes, ranging from 15-inch, 23-inch and 28-inch. All 4K series monitors support up to 3840×2160 UHD native resolutions, along with 3G-SDI, HDMI and analogue inputs.

Why AES67.

Audio over IP used to be limited by proprietary protocols. You couldn’t connect Brand A console to Brand B. Therefore, you had to commit to a specific manufacturer when getting into AoIP. AES67 changes this. When you see the AES67 logo, you can know that that IP console or hardware will send audio to another AES67 device without difficulty. Simple IP is AES67 compliant. Using the Dante standard, this device can send and receive audio to any other AES67 device. Whether that is a console, switcher or other compliant piece of hardware.
