Dynamic Images

Announcing Dynamic Images, a new Extron control system capability. Extron user interfaces can now display low-frame-rate video directly from NAV Pro AV over IP systems, and soon, Quantum Ultra II videowall processor systems. Confidence preview content is delivered securely to the control interface; with no dedicated preview hardware required, making the feature a cost-effective addition to professional AV systems. The Dynamic Images feature can also be used to automatically update graphical content on Extron user interfaces, such as logos and other changeable elements. Dynamic Images can retrieve JPEG, PNG, and animated GIF files from web sources and file servers, enabling interface graphics such as logos, channel icons, and status images to be updated without redeploying the GUI file. Dynamic Images is compatible with our latest generation of user interfaces, such as TLP Pro 35 Series touchpanels, Extron Control for Web, and the new Extron Control Pro App.

The TLP Pro 535, TLP Pro 835, and TLP Pro 1035 touchpanels give programmers new flexibility to support a wide range of room environments. Depending on the needs of the room, the same touchpanel can operate as a traditional user interface connected to an Extron control processor or become the controller itself using LinkLicense for TLP Control Processor. This flexibility allows programmers to tailor system designs to the application while reducing hardware requirements in smaller spaces.

For many classrooms, collaboration spaces, meeting rooms, and other small systems, a touchpanel with LinkLicense for TLP Control Upgrade can eliminate the need for a separate control processor, since many devices can be controlled via a network connection. Expanding Control with the TLCA 2 TouchLink Control Port Expansion Adapter
When a TLP Pro 35 Series touchpanel is equipped with a LinkLicense for TLP Control Processor Upgrade, the optional TLCA 2 provides serial, IR, relay, and digital input connections available to a ControlScript program running on the touchpanel.

This combination can support a sophisticated room project controlling two RS-232 controlled displays, monitor room occupancy through a digital input, trigger a projection screen using the relay ports, and control multiple media and switching devices over an Ethernet connection while providing complete user interaction on the touchpanel.

Extron Control Pro

We are announcing the immediate availability of Extron Control Pro, a new, powerful, easy-to-use AV control app that gives users complete, mobile access to Extron control systems from Apple and Android devices. It builds on our popular Extron Control app and delivers many new features, such as real-time dynamic image preview, the ability to add multiple systems at once – even while offline, and new authentication options. It delivers a seamless, highly responsive control experience—whether you’re managing a single room or multiple spaces across a facility. After minimal initial setup, your mobile device quickly connects to the desired room and automatically loads the same user interfaces found on Extron control products. No lengthy configuration or custom programming is needed.

Announcing our USB Extender xi Series, which extends and switches USB signals from peripheral devices to a host computer up to 1,980 feet (600 meters) through a Gigabit Ethernet network or up to 330 feet (100 meters) point-to-point over one CATx cable.
