Meet Lloyd Freeman

Lloyd Freeman, AVW’s Director, reporting to the Managing Director Murray Hunt, joined the AVW Group in 2014 and quickly became known as a leader who could. Most recently, prior to taking on his role as General Manager, he served as the National Tertiary Manager with Videopro NZ Ltd, now known as TenFour Technologies.
From 2005 through 2009 he was General Manager – AV of Pitney Bowes when they purchased B&H New Zealand Ltd. Lloyd successfully managed the smooth transition between the new and previous ownership while once again recording a record year for sales, gross profit and net profit. Lloyd was involved in recruiting, training, leading and motivating an extended sales team as well as administration, marketing and service teams. Lloyd negotiated and was awarded numerous contracts within the tertiary market during this time.
Lloyd joined the AV industry in 2000 as a National Sales Manager for the B&H New Zealand Ltd. and brings considerable experience and success in leading Marketing and Sales teams, both at a Head Office level as well as a branch network level including agencies. Lloyd is known for his leadership qualities, professionalism and success in this vertical market. With more than 20 years in the AV Industry, Lloyd has held a variety of leadership positions and is widely known and respected both in New Zealand as well as the international stage.
He was responsible for organising and hosting for 17 years the Tertiary Technology Forum (TTF), where suppliers & manufacturers, both local and international, were invited to address the key decision-makers from every major tertiary institution in New Zealand. With 25 plus years of experience working alongside Extron Electronics, Lloyd has played an important role in delivering each of Extron’s innovative products to the NZ market and by working with consultants, AVSIs, architects, contractors, and end-users he played an integral role in many large projects and continues to do so.
Originally from New Zealand’s southernmost city, Invercargill, his interest in AV technology began when, as a boy, he got his first computer, a Sinclair ZX81. Married with two adult children and six grandchildren Lloyd is an avid All Black, Blues and Auckland supporter and is proud to say that he supports any NZ Team and any other team playing Australia or England.

In addition, we can provide sample application diagrams, installation videos, white papers, technology articles, and more.
